The Troll who lives in Fremont is world-famous, it is true.
But fame doesn't go to his head, nor stop his melancholy eating of Beetles.
The pixies of Olympia are playing, pushing cats' faces into water bowls,
Stealing things only to return them, except of course, creamed corn.
The selkies and naiads of Federal Way are elusive, for the most part.
Splashing where they will, but only for those who really look to see them.
Dryads are everywhere, but the evergreen ones talk less than most.
Evergreens are busy trees, and so their dryads nap whenever they can.
Gnomes and people of rock can be found in tunnels, but keep to their own time-frame.
They give gifts to others of their persuasion, but rarely have much to say to people like me.
