Let's see, Friday was Fire ceremony at [livejournal.com profile] runnerwolf's place. I got to try Cincinatti chili. Normally, I don't like chili, but that stuff's good. =) Oh, and I picked up a cake for her b-day, which was shared around with the other folks there. *grin* Got scolded for it, but oh well, the look on her face made up for that. ;) S'ok, I think she already got revenge on me beforehand by asking me to spit Florida water on her. Yeeuch. She's right, the stuff does taste about like one would expect cheap cologne to taste, and it makes one mouth burn and go numb at the same time.

Fire was good, though there were several and many people missed. Lots of powerful stuff that needed to be let go of.

Saturday was spent doing lots of packing. Mostly books. At last count, I've got three boxes of clothing packed up, and 12 or so boxes of books. That's most of the paperbacks, not the odd-sized books or hardbacks. I also got to spend some time with Tshar, despite scheduling confusions. It was interesting time, especially some parts of the conversation. Also, listening to Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos while talking was a trip. I usually don't listen to that CD with other people around. This was a good thing in that I didn't trance completely out on the music and feel weird depression catharsis. And it was a bad thing for the same reason. ;)

Sunday's class was challenging. We'll see how well I can get to homework this week. Later on, gaming was a lot of fun. Our Mage characters ended up on a very... interesting plane. With swiftly changing cruising altitudes, 5-point harnesses on the seats, and various people's paradox-accumulations going off. *grin* Let's just say that I love Sar's creativity as a Storyteller, especially when it comes to punishing the players with their acquired paradox. To my fellow gamers, I have only one word, "Peep!"

Yesterday I was exhausted. This was because my brain decided that it needed to start making a list of all the things we need to do before Saturday. Thus, not getting to sleep before 12:30am, and getting about 6 hours of sleep. Blech.

Fortunately, Lerryn is a lot more laid back about the move than I am, and convinced me he was not going to let me work myself into nervous exhaustion over it. I got to bed early last night, after making a written list of stuff *before* going to bed. 'Course, I'm not sure how much more we'll get done tonight. We're supposed to get together with Lerryn's dad for dinner. He decided to return our call to his hotel at 11pm last night. *grumble, bitch, mutter* His folks are f-ing insistent about how late we can call them, they can't extend the same courtesy to us?

Oh well. Right now, plans are for moving bookcases and some boxes and dressers on Saturday. Then moving couch and bed on Sunday, after we've got the other stuff out of the way. That'll leave us next week for incidentals and cleaning the damn place. I feel kind of betwixt and between at the moment. Our bookcases look fairly empty, but we've still got clutter-from-Hades in the bedroom and the dining room. Plus a couple of laundry baskets full of assorted stuff that I haven't gone through in a year or more. (No Sar, I'm not throwing it out unlooked through, thank you. I would've lost a box of my writings and notebooks if I followed that advice from you.)

So, that's fairly up-to-date for now. Time to get some more work done.
