At least among the people I have listed as friends here on lj who are in the Seattle area. Seems like anyone who shares my preference for rain is also drained and cranky when it gets too hot around here.

*sigh* I'm very glad it's cooler today, but my apartment, except for the bedroom where we have the fan, is still too damn hot. I promised I'd get the bathroom cleaned up, which I did, though I stopped when I realized that I had sweat pouring down into my eyes. Which I didn't notice until I'd gotten done scrubbing the bathtub. That's one of the major problems with me and housework. I'll get so task-focused and work my tail off that I'll fail to notice things like getting really tired, or badly sweaty or whatever. The place isn't spotless, but it's a lot better than it was.

Time for me to go shower, get some food, and maybe head up Sar's direction. I'm hoping the day stays nice and overcast so my apartment can cool off during the course of the day. Still wanting to go do more around the apartment, since it is a disaster area, but I know i've only got so much energy, and darnit I'm taking a mental health day!

Must be a reason why all of us heat-hating ducks congregate in this area =)

One reason I moved out of Pullman. I hate heat. And my room is the coolest too. The rest of the house is hot. I think the girls need a fan, but Rh doesn't want to open her window at night. And that's how I used to clean too. Got really focused one one thing. It looked really clean. The rest of the house was still a nightmare. I hope there is some mental health in today for you.

You too, eh? Yeah. Thank goodness for the rain. It's still sorta warm here in the shop, from all the heat we built up over the last two days. Maybe I'll get it cool by the end of the day.

Count me amoung those very glad it's cooler today. I have a sunburn, even, which makes for extra whining!

A bit cooler in this end of the country too, and rainy. I like rain...really I do...my body, however, has other ideas. It gives me 'early warning' signs thanks to my advanced age. But I do hate it when it's hot...much rather have it cooler. I suspect I'd enjoy living in Seattle weather....

Yeah, normally, Cindy and I move into the basement at this time of year. Unfortunately, when we went to do this, we found it already occupied by a teenager...

Heat...blegh!

I am *very* glad that things are cooling off and our beloved rain is back. The humid heat was definately too much for me. I've been grumpy for days.

I don;t think anyone in the Seattle has any right to bitch about the weather. Comparatively I would kill to have your weather. Try 105 plus 75% humidity. Try working outside for 10 hours in that. OK I'm don't now it's been one hell of a week.

I've never lived without air conditioning. I'm spoiled - I live in Atlanta and my Daddy's in HVAC. So as long as I don't have to spend much time outside, the heat (and humidity) here isn't such a big deal.

But I stay cold anyway. Even if I turn the A/C off. This afternoon I was huddled in bed with flannel sheets, three quilts and an electric blanket, wearing a sweat suit and heavy socks. Yes, it was in the mid-80s outside, and 78 inside. But my body is known to be weird.

Of course, my partner is a polar bear. He wants everything COLD. Like, his idea of "sleeping temperature" is to put the thermostat on 65 and have the ceiling fan going full blast.

I doubt I could survive most of the year in your part of the world :-( Which is annoying, because I meet so many neat people online who are up there!
