Sushi suggestions?

Hi all,

It is getting to be that time of year when I really start craving sushi. I'd highly appreciate any suggestions about where to find really good sushi. Preferrably in or near Redmond, and yes I already know about Todai. They have good sushi, but not the best selection all the time, and rather expensive for not being able to get exactly what I want.

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

Nara has good sushi, and they're on Cleveland just off of 166th.

If you venture down to Tukwila before the end of the month, Mizu (by Target) is excellent.

Rikki Rikki in Kirkland reputedly has good sushi (I don't eat it myself); I can vouch that their other food is yummy, though! And they've got a pretty extensive menu.

I'm willing to bet that Dragonfish (downtown Seattle, on Pine in the Paramount Hotel) has good sushi.

I highly recommend Sushi-ten in Bellevue. Excellent prices and quality for both lunch and dinner.

[livejournal.com profile] jw1776 says Sushi-Ten on 140th in the area of Skate King and the Saturn dealership is very good, and that [livejournal.com profile] wolfieboy likes it... [livejournal.com profile] jenkitty likes Izumi in Totem Lake, in the strip mall that runs north of and parallel to 124th St, west of 116th Ave; and Jesse himself likes Marine Polis, 11818 NE 8th St, Bellevue. The one place other than Todai on this side of the water I've had sushi and liked it was Tokyo, on Factoria near Richards Road (north end and across from Factoria Mall).

Sushi-to-go can be had from Uwajimaya, 156th and 24th, Trader Joes (semi-ubiquitous), or the Fred's over near Redmond Way and East Lake Sammamish actually has their own sushi chef.

Um.

There's a stellar place in Gig Harbor?

That's not so helpful.

I make good sushi!

You should come have dinner with Etienne and I when we're in Seattle, and I'll make sushi.

Look how I bribe you. ;)

There's also MarineLand Sushipolis in downtown Bellevue, if you're amused by the concept of colorful little plates of sushi riding by on a conveyor belt. The price is color-coded by the the plates. Green is, I think, $2.00 and for that you get 3 or 4 pieces of cucumber roll, etc.

It's kinda odd, but it IS a relatively inexpensive way of getting sushi, especially if you eat slowly.

Sushiten (did I spell that right?) Actually in Bellevue. Phaedra_lari and I used to go there all the time, and still occassionally go.
