Repo! The Genetic Opera
Nov. 12th, 2008 01:39 pmWent to see Repo with Dianthus last night. Still trying to decide what my opinion is overall. I mainly wanted to see this movie because I wanted to see Anthony Stewart Head acting and hear him sing. There's almost no part of the movie involving him singing that I didn't enjoy greatly. The summation I was able to come up with last night boiled down to, "Many and several moments of WTF?!, intermingled with times where this movie is awesome almost in spite of itself."
First off, I so want to kick the asses of the people who put together the soundtrack. Unless this is a trend in dealing with soundtracks that I was previously unaware of, I would think a soundtrack would follow the order of the movie it comes from. The soundtrack I downloaded from iTunes is so scrambled as far as order goes, that there's a lot of how this movie's storyline went that was a surprise to me.
If you aren't familiar with the movie, and don't mind spoilers in addition to what I've written below, I recommend checking out the movie's wikipedia page at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repo!_The_Genetic_Opera
( Much random analyzing and MAJOR SPOILERS here. )
