Whee. Final for my lecture tomorrow. Should also be getting my lab final back tomorrow. Went to the review and was getting seriously peeved at the earnest, but confusing attempts of the T.A. to explain various concepts. Really didn't help when he fucked up and confused diffraction with dispersion in his explanation. Still, I was able to get the info I needed for the sample questions I had either missed the lecture for, or was a bit unsure on what was meant. Yes, despite his other screw-up, I'm reasonably confident that I was given the correct information. If not, I've done well enough in this couse so far to get a decent grade. (Crosses fingers.)
So far:
Diamond paper: 10/10
Lab midterm: 66/70
Lecture Midterm: 99/100
Quizes: Um, I think it was 14/16 and 12/16, but I'd have to go hunt them down to be sure.
Favorite gemstone paper: 20/20, chose Lapis Lazuli. Was surprised that this surprised some folks, but then I don't wear it as much these days.
Lab final: ? Get it back tomorrow
Lecture final: ? Take that tomorrow. Need to ask how to find out results too.
Overall, I know I'm doing well. This is slowly but surely strangling the little voice that keeps telling me I'm going to utterly fail. Matter of fact, getting highly annoyed with the stupidity/failure to pay attention and comprehend of the other students has me feeling a bit better about the whole notion of taking my Psych lab course come Spring quarter. Fairly cruel attitude, but boils down to, "If these kids are having this much trouble with a class this relatively simple, I should be able to hack the Lab course." I'm not as confident of getting as high a grade, but I know now that I can do the work in a class and succeed, which was really the main thing I needed to get back on this damn horse and stay there. As for why Spring quarter, let's just say there's a confluence of needing to gather enough funds, and needing to deal with more personal stuff for a few months.
