Oh, right.

Well, we've now conclusively proven that me being on the Pill is bad for my health. 2 months off of it, with only minimal changes to diet and exercise habits, and my bp is now 132/86, instead of 142/100. I was a bit concerned that the higher number hadn't dropped as much, but my doctor assured me that in my case it was the lower number that was most worrisome.
So, I don't need to go back in for another check-up until early January, and then just to make sure that it stays low. Personally, I think it's lower than that measurement, because they didn't give me time to calm down much from the drive down. It was check in, get weighed, and get bp taken immediately. So my guess is it's closer to 130/82 or something like that. Still, I think I'll continue to avoid chips and such, since I've discovered snacking on cereal is rather good.
Yay me on the bp improving. Now if I can just tolerate the weight fluctuations as my body and metabolism readjust to not being on the Pill.... My weight had gone up by 10 pounds. I'm assured by all and sundry that this is not noticable, but it's kinda annoying to suddenly jump in weight when I'm eating a bit better and getting at least some more exercise. I was warned about gaining weight when going on the Pill, seems unfair that you can gain more when going off of it as well.
